Mixed Foursomes Flag Competition

Mixed Foursomes Flag Competition

What a splendid day on the Church Course, with the sun shining and the birds singing as ten mixed pairs set out to see who could carry their flag the furthest around the course.

On a positive note, all pairs returned safely and, perhaps even more importantly, no actual divorces occurred!

The first pairing to complete their round, Charlie and Fi Miller, managed to reach the 16th green. Their playing partners, Andrew and Andrea Worrall, edged ahead by driving from the 17th tee.

The competition then became extremely close. Rob and Lulu Palmer reached and putted on the 18th green before Alfred and Gina Cutner impressively drove down the 19th. However, the standout performance of the day came from Dr Alan Jager and Karen Teo, one of our newest members, who managed to hole out on the 19th green to secure victory.

Top Three

1st Place: Dr Alan Jager & Karen Teo
2nd Place: Alfred Cutner & Gina Cutner
3rd Place: Rob Palmer & Lulu Palmer

Congratulations to our winners and well played to everyone who took part in a thoroughly enjoyable competition.
