What a fantastic day of golf we had here yesterday at St Enodoc.

The weather wasn’t as kind as it could have been, but we still had 62 brave Men and Ladies go out and play 36 holes of golf. The morning started breezy with some light mizzle and then we lost the sight of Stepper Point for a while as the rain got heavier. In the afternoon the weather slightly improved but the grey cloud didn’t move much all day.

There was a two tee start off the 1st and 9th with the Ladies starting from the first tee in the morning.

Both the Men and Ladies Championships were fiercely contested, with some great scores posted by the top three Men and Ladies players.

Congratulations to Holly Justice for playing some very steady golf and just pipping Mum (Jenny Justice) to the Ladies Championship. Holly posted two gross 78’s which was impressive in the conditions.

The Men’s Club Champion took a little longer to resolve as both Louis Archer and Finn Ellis posted a total gross 139 over the 36 holes. After deliberation, both agreed they wanted to resolve who was the Club Champion for 2025 by having a play off.

They teed off down the 1st and then back up the 18th 5 times. Eventually we had a winner, which was very handy as it was now starting to get dark.

Congratulations to Finn Ellis for becoming this year’s Men’s Club Champion and extremely well played to Louis and for showing such great sportsmanship.
