On Tuesday the ladies played in a Yellow/Reds Competition on the Church Course which gave them the opportunity to play off some of the mens Yellow Tees on seven of the eighteen holes. This was particularly interesting on the 4th hole with the out of bounds looming right and the marsh on the left coming into play more easily! The greens were running quickly and the pins were in difficult positions but Chris Dymond obviously mastered them well as she came in with a worthy 33 points to win Division 1. In Second place was Maggie Day with 30 points and third was Barbara Graham with 27 points. In Division 2 Sue Foster took first place with 31 points followed by Anne Humphreys with 27 points and Bobbie Rounsevell with 25 points. On the Holywell Course a normal Stableford Competition was played and Sheila Lees had a fantastic round to finish on 40 points and reduce her handicap to 31. In second place was Cath Buscombe on 36 and in third was Mary Killingley on 35. On Friday another round of the Stableford Salver was played on the Church Course. The fog made the first few holes difficult but fortunately it lifted enough to make play a little easier and safer! Di Dingle came in first with 33 points on countback from Vickie Stephenson in second followed by Chris Dymond in third with 32 points.
