After a delayed start because of frost, round 4 of the Williams Cup was played on Saturday in crisp, cold conditions. 31 pairs played and were rewarded with beautiful sunshine even though the temperature only reached a balmy 4 degrees.
Martin Wilson and Richard Bentley played the winning round, scoring 43 points. They played consistently well, with birdies on the 14th and 15th giving them a boost on the way home. Dennis Brown and Greg Mather scored 41 points to finish in 2nd place.
Byron Weston and James Hutchings had a good back nine to put them in 3rd place after countback with 40 points. Josh Greenaway and Tuck Clagett, along with Andy Bunt and Russell Combellack, and Rich Hawken and Rich Lawrence all scored 40 points to finish 4th, 5th and 6th respectively.
