This Saturday was the second round of the Williams Cup. The 4BBB team series is a popular competition. Played in pairs, the prize winners take individual points into the series which is to be played right through the year. Once again the weather was less than ideal for golf, the rain did ease a little in the afternoon but the 44 members who entered the competition certainly all got wet!
In first place Guy Hovil and Lewis Bradley made a strong pair with very few strokes received. From the 6th home they did not drop a shot and finished with 39 points.
Shaun Beare and Tris Lang, who teed off at 9.00 in the worst of the weather, scored 38 points and took second place on countback over the back 9 where they had 33 points. In third place Matt Mills and Paul Clemens also scored 38 points with a back nine score of 21. Neil Bradley and Stuart Fleet scored 17 on the back nine so finished in fourth with their 38 points.
