The 3rd round of The Williams Cup was played in unseasonable sunshine, a lovely day for golf with not too much wind and a bit of warmth in the air. John Carhart and David Elliott paired up to score 41 points beating the rest of the field by 2 clear points. John held the baton for most of the front nine with David coming back strong over the back nine to finish with a birdie on the 18th.
Mike Buse partnered with Josh Greenaway to come second with 39 point son countback, they saw off Mathew Smith and Dennis Brown whose 39 points put them in 3rd after countback, and Terry Johns and John Radford who finished 4th, also with 39 points.
5th, 6th, 7th and 8th place were all seperated by countback with all pairs scoring 38 points. Kevin Brenton and Rob Cook were 5th, Graham Keeble and Richard Norsworthy were 6th, Tuck Clagett and John Paul were 7th and Mike Masters and Byron Weston finished 8th.
