At the beginning of 2018 a new Series was introduced. The Williams Cup is a 4 Ball Better Ball Series which has been played over 10 rounds, with 5 scores to count. The first round was way back in January and the final round was played on Saturday. The day’s competition is played in pairs but the series points are awarded individually. Players have had a variety of partners over the series but the result for the series has ended with just 1 point difference in the final standings.
The final round was won by Andy Bunt and Nigel Buse with 43 points, they were ahead of James Hutchings and Chris Jennings who finished with 41 points. James and Bunty were fighting it out for the top spot in the series, so the result was crucial for Bunty who is the first winner of The Williams Cup.
In third place on Saturday, Norman Evans and Richard Helleur had 40 points just beating Lewis Bradley and Matt Smith on countback.
In the Series prizes were awarded to 16th place, so take a look HERE at the table for the final results, but the top 5 are as follows:
1st Andy Bunt 95 points
2nd Chris Jennings 94 points
3rd Greg Mather 93 points
4th Dennis Brown 91 points
5th Matt Smith 90 points
