On Sunday 18th August, playing conditions made scoring difficult for the competitors who had entered the Mixed Foursomes Competitions on both courses. Andy Bunt and Terri Gliddon who had reached their ten year deadline for trophy acquisition were seen to be negotiating a contract extension in the bar afterwards! Captain Bob Cruse invited volunteers to guess the winning total for the first Viscountess Clifden Competition held in 1906 and Mary Rayment won the prize for the most accurate guess with the actual gross score being 127. The following pairs played their way into the prizes:
Winners - Martin & Kath Biddle - 33 points
Runners up - Bob & Annie Cruse - 29 points
Martin thanked everyone involved in the organisation of the day and congratulated Kath on being able to get him out of trouble when needed!
Winners - Simon & Jane Pain - 35 points
The Bannerman Trophy will be played on the Championship weekend in September.
