Tom Doak completed his course audit after spending two days at St Enodoc shortly before Christmas which outlines for the Club his thoughts for possible future improvements, alterations and upgrades. His comprehensive report is now available for Members to read online in the section where the password protected Committee Minutes are (bottom right hand corner of this page). A hard copy is also available for Members to peruse in the office
Tom has played St Enodoc many times over the years and has a great affinity for the course; his ideas as a leading authority worldwide on links courses, are certainly very thought provoking and many of his proposals which would improve playability relate to cut lines on greens and fairways could be implemented at no cost.
This month’s issue of Golf World has a three page article and interview with Tom which took place whilst he was over here in the U.K. reworking the bunkers on the Hotchin course at the National Golf Centre at Woodhall Spa. This shows in what high regard Tom is held in the World of golf and we were unbelievably lucky that he could spare the time to visit St Enodoc whilst he was in the country.
