Well done Josh Walsh who played in Final Qualifying for the Open at Woburn on Tuesday 1st June where he finished a creditable Tied 50th on 7 over Par with rounds of 75 and 76. This was Josh's first attempt at the Open and having got through Regional Qualifying at Remedy Oak the week before was up against many Tour Pros and even some well known names like Oliver Fisher and Robert Rock. With only 3 players qualifying from each of the 4 venues and fields of some 80 players the chances of progressing were slim but it is all very good experience for him.
Mention must be made of Truro's Rhys Enoch who qualified third at Woburn after a 3 man play off for the final spot. Rhys, after a glittering amateur career for Cornwall and Wales turned pro and has played on the Challenge Tour since 2013.
