Another round of the Church Salver Competition took place on Friday 4th January in reasonably calm weather conditions. Penny Cartwright claimed first place with 32 points followed by Pauline Meredith in second place with 30 points.
Medal Competitions were held on both courses on Tuesday 8th January which turned out to be a damp and drizzly day. Players on the Holywell Course rose to the occasion and achieved some excellent results. Sue Moore produced the best golf of the day to finish three under par with a nett 60, this guaranteed her first place and a handicap cut of 2 shots from 31 to 29. Ann Worden also reduced her handicap from 28 to 27 with a nett 65 which was good enough to secure second place.
On the Church Course, the leader board was crowded as there was a difference of only one shot between the first four players. Terri Gliddon beat the rest of the field with a net 77 and Sarah Sandercock finished in second place with a net 78 (on count back).
