With a Cornish Captain St Piran\'s Day was celebrated in style at St Enodoc with better ball competitions on both courses and the whole day had a Cornish flavour. The players all were able to enjoy Wappo\'s homemade pasties and cider at the 10th on what was a chilly day and after the golf there was a choice of local traditional dishes either crab and potato fish cakes or the much enjoyed Squab Mutton pie, which for the uninitiated also includes apples sultanas and spices.
To the golf where the scores were good even though the last groups on the Church were playing in almost total darkness, particular mention must be made of last out Chris & Angela Tickner for their 36 points in the circumstances. Those in the prizes were:-
Holywell
1st Alan Tibbenham & Di Keats 42 pts
2nd Malcolm & Judy Cole 40 pts
Church
1st Joe Cruse & Colin Reynolds 39 pts
2nd David & Beth Elliott 38 pts
3rd Rod Frost & Sue Kingston 37 pts
4th Chris & Angela Tickner 36 pts
This is what was on offer half way round
To round off the evening the participants could enjoy the music of Adrian Davies, the cheque presentation to Nigel Libby for Ellie\'s Haven, reported on elsewhere and also the prizegiving with the prizes presented by Nigel Libby. An all round good day for the Club and Cornwall.
