Since the Club's website was re-launched in November 2011 all items that have appeared on our Members Page have automatically been reposted on our Facebook and Twitter pages. This was very much an experiment and we were very open minded as to what might happen! Our Facebook page is read and as a result about 200 "click throughs" are made to the main website every month.
The much bigger success has been Twitter, which with no further prompting and just viewing our Members page content had gathered quite an audience of about 850 "followers", the vast majority of whom are not Members and has resulted in about additional 500 visits a month to our main website. Over the last 5 weeks we have started to add additional content to Twitter mostly of a general golfing interest as we ourselves are "following" about 40 Tweeters such as Cornwall Golf Union, The European Tour, various golf magazines and Cornwall Golf. As a result our audience on Twitter has shot through the 1,000 barrier and is growing quite quickly all of which is good publicity for St Enodoc.
Do have a look at our Twitter page, go to www.twitter.com and put in St Enodoc in the search box and if you like what you see all you have to do is click on the "Follow" box at the top by the heading. On our part we will try and make it an interesting and entertaining quick read about golf and hopefully at the same time spread the name of St Enodoc as not only a World Top 100 course but a fun Club.
