On a sunny, but cold and windy Saturday afternoon teams ventured forth in the Sporting Team Challenge, a new competition that allowed for creativity in attire. Teams were dressed as a sporting individual or in the colours of a team such as Leeds United. St Enodoc has rarely witnessed such sights as several darts players left their oche and took to the fairways!
There were prizes for best dressed teams;
second were the Rickie Fowler team resplendent in orange - L-R Mark Jarvis, Andy Burt, Rich Lawrence & Rich Hawken
......and the winners were the 118 team in full regalia who turned out to be Neil Bradley, Martin Biddle, Graham Keeble & Lewis Bradley.
As for the golf scoring was tough in a stableford format, the top three were as follows:
1st Cornish Flag Team 86 points
Mike Buse, Nigel Buse, Rob Cook, Andy Bunt
2nd Rickie Fowler Team 80 points
Mark Jarvis, Andy Burt, Rich Lawrence, Rich Hawken
3rd Denver Broncos 80 points
Tuck Clagett, John Paul, Josh Greenaway, Tom Wills,
Congratulations must go to Frank Harper who rolled back the years and achieved two of the seven two's winning 24 balls – well done Frank.
All competitors enjoyed a meal afterwards and the captain handed out fines, presented the prizes and thanked everyone for entering into the spirit of the day.
