Saturday 5th October saw 59 members taking part in the Sir Cecil Carr 4 Club Trophy. The Church course presents a stern test with a full set of clubs but as the name suggests this was a four club competition, one of which had to be a putter so good scores were at a premium.
Although it’s unclear what John Paul does with his other 10 clubs in the usual Saturday competitions he certainly managed just fine with four on Saturday returning a fantastic score of 36 points playing off a 7 handicap to take First place and with it the Sir Cecil Carr Trophy, we wait to see if John puts his other 10 clubs back in the bag for this weeks Rowe Cup.
John Radford finished a point further behind in Second Place with what was also a fantastic score of 35 points playing off a handicap of 9. Both Richard Bentley and Dennis Brown finished with 34 points although Richard came out on top after count-back to secure Third spot.
