The forecast was terrible and the Carlyon Bay Captain was querying early on whether the match should go ahead.However, the St Enodoc Captain had no doubts and the match went ahead with a little wind but no rain.
The first match started well with the Captain and his partner Mike Lovett 2 up early on and seemingly set for yet another victory. Unfortunately, Carlyon Bay then gave a golfing masterclass by winning 5 and 4.
The Captain was left sweating in the Clubhouse with both Clubs tied after 6 matches.Fortunately, messr’s Colin Earle, Dereck Stevens, David Balmford and Nigel Thomas did the Old Saints proud with comfortable wins, to make the final score 5-3 in St Enodoc’s favour.
