St. Enodoc Golf Club - Seniors go down at Carlyon Bay

Seniors go down at Carlyon Bay

The Seniors played their return match at Carlyon Bay and ended up with a narrow loss 4.5 to 3.5, but with a comfortable 10.5 to 5.5 aggregate score.

The weather was a glorious sunny day with far reaching views out to sea and the Course was in perfect condition. After the first 5 reported results came in, things looked rather bleak for St Enodoc, but fortunately the last 3 results were in their favour to give a respectable look to the scoreboard.

David Ramsbottom and Mike Lovett – halved

Norman Evans and Roger Priestley – won 4 and 3

Neal Jolly and Keith Hawke lost 5 and 4

Ken Metcalfe and Geoff Matthews lost 5 and 4

Richard Parsons and Kevin Burton lost 3 and 1

Paul Godfrey and David Balmford won 4 and 3

Graham Keeble and Richard Norsworthy won 6 and 5

Derek Ruston and Colin Earle lost 4 and 3.

NTP – David Balmford

The final match of the season will be at home to Truro next Monday at 11.30
