Sam has now arrived at the TPC course at Sawgrass which is at Ponte Vedre in Florida for his second 6 month stint. Talk about landing on his feet for we left Sam at the Donald Ross designed Scioto Country Club for the first 6 months of his 18 month internship which included a spell at the Jack Nicklaus Muirfield Village for the Memorial Tournament.
A move south has seen him arrive at the Pete Dye course which hosts the Players Championship every year, often referred to as the Fifth Major as its always attracts such a prestigious field. It is best known for the Par 3 130 yard 17th hole to the island green and the scene of many balls in the water. The course itself was built on swamp land so Sam will have some very interesting ground conditions as well as making sure he steers clear of the Gators! I just hope that if he is mowing the 17th green he is a good swimmer in case the mower gets out of control! Enjoy Sam as we are all jealous.
