Saturday 24th August saw 81 Members competing to be crowned Presidents Cup Champion 2013. The competition got underway in some very testing conditions with very strong winds blowing into face on the 1st tee shot, members knew it would be a tough test which allied to the Medal format ensured good scores were at a premium. In a change from the usual weather pattern the wind strength faded as the day went on which showed in the results with most of the best scores coming from afternoon starters.
Showing good form in the lead up to this Sunday’s Ernie Goodman Trophy was Josh Greenaway who finished at the top of the leaderboard with a very solid gross 69 to finish with a nett 70. Robbie Moore continued his recent good form to shoot a gross 74 for a nett 71 which sealed Second Place after a count-back with Charlie Runnalls whose gross 75 meant he also finished with a nett 71.
