After a difficult 1st round which found Antony Nash outside the cut line and in danger of not making it to final qualifying, yesterday Antony turned in a wonderful round. His three under par round of 68 included 2 birdies, an eagle and one bogey. This score equalled the low round of the entire tournamnent. Antony can now move on to final qualifying starting on 10th April, at Frilford Heath GC, with a great deal of confidence. We wish him every success.
Meanwhile Josh Walsh did not have such a happy day; from being comfortably placed well inside the cut line in round one Josh was 4 over par for the day and looking like making the cut until he reached the par 5 15th. There a 10 wrecked his card and chances of qualifying. Josh was playing as an amateur and is such a good golfer that there will surely be other opportunities for him.
