Such has been the beautiful weather for the PGA Cornish Festival this past three days that it is widely rumoured that the PGA engaged Tony Rounsevell to work his magic ! Another stunning day today on our links with the merest hint of a zephyr from the North to keep the temperatures down. A quick look at our Twitter feed will show just how much our course has been appreciated by all of the players; not only the course but our bar and catering staff too.
Yesterday evening Team Arrowsmith had risen to the dizzy heights of 6th overall and no doubt with the thought of a final round on their home track his team were secretely thinking of an even better finish. Perhaps the pressure of expectation; perhaps of worry over the accepatance speech; for whatever reason Team Arra stumbled at the final hurdle and their limp final round team total of 74 (13 less than yesterday) saw them plummet down the leaderboard to finish tied 23rd. Meanwhile ........ over at Trevose, a course where historically Antony has scored well Team Nash got their act together and turned in a score of 87 to leave them tied 18th and three points ahead of Team Arra. Today Antony made his best score of the week a three under par 69 to regain some respectability but still finish eight shots behind Mark and fourteen places on the leader board.
Well played all and many thanks to all the St Enodoc staff, on and off the course, who contributed to enhancing our reputation.
