A second round of the new Stableford Salver Series took place on Friday 23rd October in excellent playing conditions. Terri Gliddon produced the best performance of the day and was rewarded with a handicap reduction.

The final round of this year’s Roworth Salver Series was played on Sunday 25th October and there were two players in the running for the top prize on the last day of the competition. The winner of the series is the player with the five best scores from ten rounds, each round is played over eighteen holes with the winner gaining 20 points and all other entrants receiving points according to how many points they are behind the leader. The winners of The Roworth Salver Series and The Stableford Salver Series will be presented with their trophies at the Ladies’ AGM on Tuesday 3rd November.

On Tuesday 28th October, players on the Church Course were competing for the Sandys Cup. This is a Par Competition and the cup was first presented in 1911. The accurate weather forecast of heavy rain showers throughout the morning resulted in a smaller field than usual. Penny Cartwright improved on her second place in last year’s competition to become the proud winner of the Sandys Cup 2015
