St. Enodoc Golf Club - Past Captain may be charged with careless driving

Past Captain may be charged with careless driving

Word has come to Niblick from a reliable and impeccable source of a case of driving without due care and attention at the 11th hole on the Church Course on Thursday last.

It would appear that the facts are as follows. A Past Captain of this Club, known for the brevity of his speeches, was driving a buggie between the bunkers and the 11th green, however he completely failed to notice that one of his playing partners had already parked his trolley in the same location. The subsequent collision destroyed said trolley which had to be abandoned on the spot. This left three players sharing one buggie with considerable inconvenience to all concerned.

Niblick is unable to comment further as the matter is now being investigated by the Buggie Licencing Sub-Committee and is thus subjudice. However it is rumoured that the Committee may consider

  1. Removal or suspension of the miscreants St Enodoc Buggie Licence.
  2. Require a buggie driving licence re-test before reinstating said licence.
  3. Impose a fine to be paid to the Captain's Charity.
  4. Recommend an eye test before reinstating said licence.
