This week began with a Foursome Flag Competition on both Courses and this was played in good weather. The winners on the Church Course being 86 yards from the centre of the 17th green were Penny Moon and Mary Rayment. Second were Penny Cartwright and Larry Barnecutt tied with Maggie Day and Gill Goodright. Both pairs were in the hole on the 16th.
On the Holywell Course Barbara Robson and Ann Worden took first prize with their ball finishing 4 yards from the pin on the 18th. Second prize went to Joyce Lockhart and Jaye Guest who were 2 yards from the pin on the 17th. On Friday we played the penultimate League Match for the year and beat Launceston to remain at the top of our division. With one home match against Mullion to play we are hopeful of returning to the First Division for next year.
The St Enodoc Lady Vets recently played for the Chris McCormick Cup and the Championship Trophy. 24 ladies entered and the weather was good once the early fog lifted. The Competition was a 12 club Stableford and the winner of both trophies was Wendy Reskelly with 38 points. Margaret Godwin was the runner up in the Chris McCormick Cup and Celia Jarvis took the runner-up place in the Championship on countback.
