It was an exciting weekend for golf this weekend with the tense finish at the Masters. Sergio Garcia piped Justin Rose in an exciting sudden death playoff on the 18th. Our winner; Colin Reynolds won by a margin, with a nett 67, 3 shots clear of the runner up; Chris Jennings.
In an all European leader’s board, Colin Reynolds holed birdie putts on the 14th and 17th to become the Muir Bowl winner for 2017. He takes the winners pot of £36 – no jacket included!
In second place Chris Jennings finished with nett 70 ahead of Pete George, Richard Lawrence and Norman Hawkey all scoring nett 72. Andy Beare, Jack Irwin and Phil Hoare finished 6th, 7th and 8th respectively with nett 74. Jack Irwin playing off his handicap of 1 had the lowest gross score of the day with a Gross 75. Rod Frost and Steve Buse just made it into the prizes with nett 75.
