The 66 members who took part in this week’s Monte Carlo Competition have got the scoring sussed now! Played in pairs, each player’s stableford score is multiplied together to give the score for that hole. Where one player fails to score their partners score stands.
The weather was calm and dry, not quite as warm as Monte Carlo but not bad for November in Cornwall! And some players were really on form, returning scores a lot higher than previous Monte Carlos competitions.
Dave Derry and Kevin Brenton formed an impressive partnership scoring 79 points to take first place. Dave Derry played an awesome round and hit a 2 under par, gross score of 67. Richard Hawken and Sam Jarvis finished in 2nd place with 76 points and Dave Flew and Charlie Runnalls were 3rd with 64 points. In 4th place on countback with 62 points were Paul Dingle and David Barber, and close on their heels in 5th, were Pete Liddicoat and Paul Honey also on 62 points. Rob Cook and John Paul came in 6th also with 62 points.
