The Monte Carlo competition had 70 players all hoping to score big in the roulette of Golf. Played in pairs, each players stableford points are multiplied together to give the score for that hole. If your partner fails to score then it’s no points at all, but if you both score well then the score for the hole can multiply up high.
The winning partnership on Saturday was Joe Cruse and John Paul who’s combined score was 69. An equal partnership with both Joe and John scoring well throughout making 3 a piece on the 3rd and 14th giving them a 9 for each the hole. In second place Matthew Mills and Stuart Fleet scored 65 points overall, the card showed a few missed opportunities that were cancelled out by some high scoring combinations.
In 3rd place Paul Honey and Matt Robins had two 12 point holes and finished with 61 points in total. Mike Lovett and Dennis Brown finished 4th on countback ahead of Nick Williams and Kevin Brenton, both pairs scored 60 points and Dave Pooley and Will Rich took the last of the prizes in 6th place with 59 points.
