The chips were down on Saturday for a good day of golf with fine weather and the course in good condition. In the Monte Carlo competition team of 2 competed for the pot. Each player recorded his Stableford score for each hole and then multiplied it with his partners score. This can create some high rollers if each player scores well but if your partner scores 0 that will knock out both scores and you will be down to the felt on that hole.
Greg Mather and Matthew Warr won with 65 points. Starting with a 12 on the 1st they had 42 points after 9 holes and this was enough to carry them through to win overall.
Matt Robins and Jack Irwin finished 2nd with 60 points and John Rowe and Andy Griffiths were 3rd with 55 points. In 4th and 5th place Kenton Williams and Steve Cock and James Hutchings and Byron Weston had 53 points apiece. Taking 6th place with 51 points were John Carhart and Ian Day.
