Eighteen teams entered the Red, White and Blue Competition played on Saturday 2nd March. With 6 holes played off each of the 3 different coloured tees it’s an interesting format, especially the holes played from the blue tees which can be a formidable challenge and one that members don’t often get the chance to experience.
108 points was a level 2’s handicap score and with the top four all finishing better than this scoring was very competitive. The winning team of Shaun Beare, Richard Hambly, Andy Golding and Andy Griffiths posted a very good score of 112 points followed closely in second place only a point behind by Nick Evans, John Rowe, John Glynne-Jones and young Ryan Perring. Third could only be decided after count back with the team of Pete Chapman, Pete Liddicoat, Derrick Daniels and Ian McKelvey finishing third with 109 points.
