After a frustrating return from injury to the PGA EuroPro tour for our resident touring professional, Antony Nash, and who as reported here has narrowly missed the cut in several recent events Montrose has been step in the right direction.
After a poor start in high winds that halted play for over 3 hours, Antony battled on to finish tied 40th. Seven over for the first 10 holes of the tournament he was struggling to get going in the high winds, however a strong final few holes saw him get back to 5 over after round 1. The second round was much different with a gentle breeze in comparison to the first round. Antony played steady golf but the birdie chances kept slipping by and two bogeys towards the end of the round saw him slip to 6 over for the tournament. After a long afternoon of watching the leader board, he slipped in on the cut mark.
Antony continued the steady golf from round 2 but couldn\'t get any forward momentum going and had to settle for a round of level par that had the potential to be a handful lower. All in all, this is a positive step forward for our young professional as he heads to the last event of the EuroPro season at Moor Allerton golf club in Leeds.
