On Friday 23rd September the Lady Vets held their Annual Championships when two cups were played for. The Vets Champion and a new cup, played for for the first time this year, the Chris McCormick Cup. Chris was Captain of St Enodoc Ladies in 1991 and during her time as a member had particulary enjoyed playing with the Vets, she donated the cup to commemorate this. The Vets Champion cup was won by Barbara Willmott with 36 points and runner up was Barbara Robson with 34 points. The Chris McCormick cup was won by Annie Matthews with 34 points with Freda Calvert as runner up with 33 points.
Tuesday morning started out quite dull and overcast despite the glorious weather elsewhere in the County, this did not deter the ladies who played stableford competitions on the Church and Holywell courses. The Church course competition was won by Lynn Ashcroft with 35 points (resulting in a one shot handicap reduction), closely follwed by Pat Parry, 32 points, narrowly beating Beth Elliott on count back, also with 32 points. The Holwell competition was won by Carole Waterworth with 38 points, in second place was Annabell Woolcott with 37 points (both had their handicaps reduced by one shot) and in third place, also with 37 points, was Gill Goodright.
