After the previous day\'s storm had effectively blown away a days golf the mixed golfers were delighted to get out into the - very - fresh air today. Having splashed through the mud last Sunday on a parkland course the advantages of playing on a links course were plain to see today - dry fairways, no puddles, no mud and greens in immaculate condition.
The Church course contest was tight with but a single shot separating the top two; the Holywell less so with the winning pair having a comfortable margin in hand. Those who played somwhat better than their peers were -

Niblick wishes to know why there are four prizes on the Holywell but only three on the Church course ? (Niblick has now been informed by someone who knows these things that the reason was to do with the size of entries on the two course viz more entries = more prizes !)
