A field of 68 enjoyed a round of golf on the Holywell course in pursuit of some spring lamb. The weather was not too kind but did not dampen the spirits of these hardened competitors.
Lady vets Captain Carole Carter and Seniors Captain Richard Parsons led the way and each managed to make their mark on proceedings with a nearest the pin prize. Carole on the 4th and Richard on the 5th. Anne Irons was closest on the 16th and Peter Meredith on the 18th.
With 3 stableford scores to count consistency was the order of the day. The team of Nigel Thomas, Malcolm Knight, Pam Hall and Beth Elliott amassed 119 points and a superior back nine saw them win on count back from Kevin Birkett, Malcolm Cole, Bobby Rounsevell and Anne Humphreys. In third place were Stuart Sandercock, David Barber, Teresa Radford and Jean Nichols.
Photographs of the 2nd and 3rd placed teams, together with a good number of others showing the participants in party mood may be found on the St Enodoc Facebook page.
