The finals of the Ladies Winter Foursomes Competitions were played this week on both courses. The Church Course final took place on Tuesday 26th March in cold but dry conditions. Competitors have been playing in two leagues over the winter months and it was the pairings of Terri Gliddon / Celia Jarvis and Tamsin Blake/Sarah Fisher who topped their respective leagues. As the final progressed, Terri and Celia established a healthy lead largely due to their accurate putting and it was the two more experienced golfers who closed out the match with considerable style.

The Holywell Course final was played in bright sunshine on Thursday 28th March with temperatures still on the cool side. It was the pairings of Lorna Harper/Julie Smith and Pauline Wilkins/Sue Walker who qualified for the final after playing consistently well in their winter league matches. This was an evenly contested match and after nine holes, the teams were all square. However, during the back nine some excellent chipping and putting from Lorna and Julie secured the win.
