On Thursday 14th June St Enodoc Ladies played in the 6th Round of the Mail on Sunday Competition. The weather could not have been worse with howling wind and torrential rain but as the opposition had travelled from Okehampton we had no choice but to go out on the course. It was a case of concentrating on standing up and hitting the ball as well as possible (which wasn\'t that well sometimes!).
However, we managed to win by 3 games to 2 and were all extremely pleased to get back to the club house for a hot shower and something to eat and drink. The team was Meg Godfrey, Sarah Sandercock, Shannon Ashcroft, Lauren Williams and Di Dingle who all deserve a huge pat on the back for their determination. P.S. A photograph would not have been recommended as \'drowned rats\' do not look very beautiful!! Let\'s hope the weather improves for the next round!!
