On Tuesday 28th July, players enjoyed carrying a lighter load than usual as they were restricted to only four clubs and a putter instead of the customary fourteen clubs. This format speeds up the decision-making process once out on the course, however many players took time to decide which four clubs to choose to begin with.
Players on the Church Course were competing for the Sir Cecil Carr Trophy which was won by Penny Cartwright who had a superb day on the greens and accumulated an impressive 35 points. On the Holywell Course, Helen Russell enjoyed an excellent round finishing with a fantastic 39 points.
