After a fairly long interlude, the latest round in the series of the Roworth Salver was played on Sunday 23rd July. Thanks to the good weather we had a few of our regular Sunday ladies venture out with Sue Willmott posting the best score of 34 points and Jackie Churcher following with 30 points.
1st Sue Willmott 34pts
2nd Jackie Churcher 30pts
The competition held on Tuesday 25th July tested the ladies course management skills or as one lady put it “lack thereof”! The Cecil Carr Competition on the Church Course and it’s equivalent 4 clubs & a putter on the Holywell proved to be a challenge of which some of the ladies were certainly up to. Our Lady Captain Tamsin Blake aka Captain Soggy (so named due to her misfortune of having rain sodden matches and away days) lead the way, closely followed by one of St Enodoc’s current rising stars Sarah Fisher with scores of 37 points and 34 points respectively.
Meanwhile on the Holywell, the clear winner by a 3 point margin was Judy Redman with 39 points and Helen Russell as runner up with 36 points beating Cath Buscombe and Janet Walton on countback.
Winner - Tamsin Blake 37pts
Runner Up – Sarah Fisher 34pts
Winner - Judy Redman 39pts
Runner Up – Helen Russell 36pts on c/b
