93 ladies from 27 different clubs visited the Club on Tuesday to take part in the Ladies June Open. The day began with mizzle coming off the Atlantic but, as is often the case, it cleared by mid-morning lulling the ladies into a false sense of security that they’d stay dry for the remainder of the day. Alas a couple of showers arrived, most found the rough tough and the gentle breeze increased substantially as the day wore on but spirits remained high. We received some lovely comments on the condition of the course and the quality of the food and bar service. I’d like to personally thank all the staff, the ladies committee, the starter and the ball spotters for making the day such a success. We raised almost £600 in the raffle, all proceeds going to Mind Cornwall. Congratulations to the winners Alisa Moore, Sue Barrick and Irene McGowan from Northamptonshire Golf Club who beat the rest of the field with 78 points. Full results can be found on the website.
