On Sunday 16th June waterproofs were donned before players headed out on to the Church course in damp and drizzly conditions to compete for the Goodman Goblets. This was a Foursomes Stableford Competition, the weather improved as the round progressed and as a result, scoring was good.
1st Penny Cartwright and Barbara Graham 35 points
2nd Tamsin Blake and Annie Cruse 34 points
The St Enodoc Ladies Open was held on Tuesday 18th June which turned out to be a humid but generally dry day. The course was in excellent condition and a formidable test of golfing ability with the rough at its most difficult and the greens fast and true. In typical St Enodoc fashion, this Four Ball Better Ball Competition attracted players from far and wide with the following pairs claiming the top prizes:
1st Jan Harrison and Deb Thomas (Launceston) 39 points
2nd Denise Power and Mo Salome (Budock Vean) 37 points
3rd Celia Jarvis and Judith Ezard (St Enodoc and Crediton) 36 points
Winner Jan Harrison, thanked Ladies Captain Lynn Ashcroft and everyone at St Enodoc Golf Club for the warm welcome extended to all the visiting players. She said that they had thoroughly enjoyed playing the course and it had been a novelty to play at St Enodoc without the wind and rain.
