St. Enodoc Golf Club - Ladies elect a new Captain

Ladies elect a new Captain

The baton was passed from Kath Biddle to Caroline Hume-Kendall at the Ladies AGM on Tuesday 2nd November.

Originally from Kent, Caroline has been a member of St Enodoc for most of her life. Her first golf lesson was with a fresh-faced young pro called Nick Williams back in the early 80s whom she continues to have lessons with! Caroline says golf runs in her blood. Both her parents were keen golfers and long-time St Enodoc members. With a handicap of 3.7 she plays for Cornwall Ladies, is a regular in the St Enodoc teams and has an ambition to be Scratch. She is often heard saying St Enodoc is where she is most at peace.

Having spent every holiday in Cornwall since she can remember, Caroline and her husband, Rupert, moved to Port Quin permanently seven years ago. They have three children (Ed. Katie and Annie) who live and work in London. Caroline began her career in PR but then took a ten-year break to look after the family before training as a photographer and setting up a business specialising in School Team and Event photography. She now owns and manages a commercial property business with Rupert, based in Truro. Her hobbies include walking, fitness, water-skiing, making hedgerow tipples and beekeeping.

Caroline sees her Ladies’ Captaincy year as one filled with fun and laughter, encouraging all members of the Ladies section to enjoy their golf and to appreciate the fabulous views we are so fortunate to have.
