St. Enodoc Golf Club - Ladies Competition Results Round Up 19th September

Ladies Competition Results Round Up 19th September

It has been a busy few weeks with the ladies golf, so here is a round up of the latest competition results.

Tuesday 28th August
The ladies played for the Clarke Cup on the Church Course. There was a full field and it proved to be a very tight finish with both Kath Biddle and Penny Cartwright scoring 35 points. Unfortunately, there always has to be a winner and Kath claimed the cup on countback.

On the Holywell the ladies played a stableford competition. The results are as follows:

1st - Judy Redman - 37pts
2nd - Anne Humphrey - 36pts (on c/b)
3rd - Julia Bailey - 36pts
4th - Sue Floyd-Jones - 35pts

Saturday 1st September
In the ladies stableford competition on the Church Course, both Kim Lord and Bev Vann came out scoring 34 points, with Kim winning on countback.

Tuesday 4th September
The format for the day was a medal competition, with Church Course playing the EG Medal and the Holywell playing an equivalent.

EG Medal - Church
Division 1
1st - Caroline Hume-Kendall Nett75
2nd - Jane Bendall Nett 77

Division 2
1st - Cath Buscombe Nett 83
2nd - Sarah Fisher Nett 93

Holywell Medal
1st - Anne Mayne Nett 60
2nd - Edna Alford Nett 61
3rd - Janet Walton Nett 62
4th - Bobbie Rounsevell Nett 63 (on c/b)

Summer Eclectic
With only a couple of weeks left to go in this years Summer Eclectic, it is getting too close to call across both courses.

In Division 1 on the Church Course, there is only one point separating the leaders with Caroline Hume-Kendall on 62.5 and Bev Vann on 63.5. The same scenario is playing out in Division 2, with Julie Finch leading on 68 and Barbara Hawkins on 69. If for one moment you thought it couldn't get any closer you would be sadly mistaken. The ladies on the Holywell, Nan Girling and Anne Mayne, are both on 53.

It is set for a nailbiting watch this space!!

Tuesday 18th September
This week the ladies played a Stableford competition in the remnants of the tropical storm Helene which reached our shores in the early hours of Tuesday morning. It wasn't as windy as was originally predicted, but nonetheless it was still pretty tough early on. Bearing this in mind, there were still some good scores returned on the day.

Division 1
1st Caroline Hume-Kendall - 33pts
2nd Fiona Womersley - 31 pts
3rd Jax Buse - 28pts
4th Diane Dingle - 27pts

Division 2
1st Bobbie Rounsevell - 25pts (on c/b)
2nd Carole Carter - 25pts
3rd Barbara Hawkins - 24pts

1st Sue Floyd-Jones - 33pts
2nd Penny Thomas - 31pts (on c/b)
