The sunshine managed to breakthrough the prolonged wet spell long enough on Tuesday 19th September for the Ladies to play their Stableford Competition. Lynn Ashcroft recorded a winning score of 36 points for Division 1, whilst a winning return in Division 2 for Angela Tickner with 29 points. Meanwhile, on the Holywell there was a three way tie with Lorna Harper pipping Anne Mayne and Nan Girling respectively on count back with 32 points.

The following Tuesday the 26th saw the Ladies compete in the Sandy's Cup previously known as the Par Cup on the Church and its counterpart taking place on the Holywell. Celia Jarvis was the winner on the Church with Caroline Hume-Kendall continuing her current run of form coming in runner-up. Meanwhile, Helen Russell stormed to victory on the Holywell and received a handicap cut for her efforts!
