An unsually good turn out for the medal competitions on Tuesday 7th August (making the most of what was probably the last of the good weather). This week The Hoskins Cup & The Holywell Beason Medal were up for grabs and it was Larry Barnecutt's turn to take the spoils on the Church with a nett 73 followed incredibly closely by Carole Carter. On the Holywell Helen Russell claimed first place with an impressive nett 60!
Winner - Larraine Barnecutt - Nett 73 (on countback)
Runner Up - Carole Carter - Nett 73
1st - Helen Russell - Nett 60
2nd - Sally Holdsworth - Nett 61
3rd - Judy Redman - Nett 63
4th - Susan Floyd-Jones - Nett 64
Roworth Salver - 19th August
The weather unfortunately, put most people off, but there were several hardy souls that were determined to play this round in the Roworth Salver Series. Bev Vann obviously had shredded wheat for breakfast (other brands also available!), because she was most insistant on going out. Carding a whopping 41 points is reason enough for any body and this now gives Bev a healthy lead of 117 points going forward with Suzy Willmott closely following 104 points.
After a false start with the first installment, the Dingle Trophy has now concluded and we have a winner. Marching off ahead with a Nett 52 over two rounds is this year's winner Pat Parry. Pauline Wilkins who came Runner Up also had a great score of Nett 54. Well done Ladies!
