Our 125th Ladies’ competition took place on Tuesday 30th June in glorious sunshine with temperatures soaring during the afternoon. The format was a Four Ball Better Ball and many teams dressed for the occasion, demonstrating in some style the elegant fashion of the era.
Bucks Fizz and strawberries were on offer by the first tee along with a commemorative ball which many players promptly stowed away in a safe place, not wishing to surrender them to the St Enodoc rough at the moment!
On returning to the clubhouse, teams enjoyed light refreshments in the restaurant before attending the prize-giving ceremony hosted by Club Captain, David Elliott dressed in very smart and dapper attire. Ladies’ Captain, Trudie Tensjo thanked everyone for engaging in the spirit of the day with such enthusiasm before announcing the prize-winning pairs who received beautifully engraved crystal as a memento of the occasion.
