If a well known beer company made Saturday's, then you can guarantee Rob Cook wouldn't have argued with you!
Seventy six people entered and it was Rob's turn to take the honours this week in the second round of the John Cory Cup Series with an astounding 39 points. After bogeying the first two holes Rob eventually found his run of form with eight pars and five birdies, four of which followed in quick succession on the back nine. Meanwhile, Messr's Clemens, Bradley (Lewis), Warr and Childs all scored 36 points and finished in second through to fifth place in that order. Paul had the best back nine (18pts), then it was very close between Lewis and Matt Warr both of whom had 17pts. It came down to the back three with Lewis edging it into third place. This gave Matt fourth place and Neil with 15pts on the back nine fifth place. The following pack were not too far behind with Joe Combellack on 35pts, Andy Bunt on 34pts, John Twigg & Stuart Fleet both on 33pts and last, but by no means least in the prizes this week was young Jamie Beare with a very respectable 32pts.
