Saturday was a day of 2 halves. Clear skies with hardly a breath of wind in the morning and then a deluge of rain and wind in the afternoon. The early players had a different round to those who diced with the weather later in the day. 85 men took their chances, all making sure they were home in time to see England beat France in the 6 Nations Rugby.
Heading out in the morning Lewis Bradley took full advantage of the favourable weather conditions to return a score of 41 points. Lewis won round5 and continued hi incredible form with birdies on the 5th, 12th and the 14th holes. His handicap is held at Bowood but he’ll be cut by 0.8!
Ryan Perring came in second on countback with 37 points, bettering Mike Masters on the back nine who took 3rd place. Norman Evans came 4th with 35 points ahead, on countback, of Stuart Fleet in 5th place. Nick Shelley, Nigel Thomas, John Hutchings, Andy Beare and John Rowe all scored 34 points and Steve Chapman and Ripke Deboer found their way into the prizes with 33 points.
The General Manager has not been seen since his back nine was recorded in the almanac of despair!
