Saturday 6th December was the third round of the Cory Cup Series. The weather was lovely; crisp and dry with a light north westerly breeze coming up as the day wore on. The Course also is in excellent condition, the greens are fast and true, taking no prisoners.
The 66 player field had scores on the day, spread between the not so good with 20 points through to the top three, who all scored 36 points. Richard Hawken took the top place on countback from Norman Evans in second and Rob Cook in third.
In fourth place Paul Dingle scored 35 points beating John Rowe on countback into fifth place and Steve Buse also with 35 points took sixth. Richard Bentley scored 34 points to take 7th place and Tuck Clagett came in 8th on 33 points.
Norman Evans is currently leading the way in the series on 50 points having scored to maximum 20 points. Richard Hawken is close on his heals on 49 points. The series runs until the end of March with 6 more rounds to play.
