The Stableford on the 6th June welcomed several regular church course players due to the presence of the SW Counties. Tyrrell Sandry won the money with a very good 41 pts followed by David Girling on 37 and Peter Meredith on 36 (Countback from Tom Lehan). I am not allowed to reveal who propped up the list!
Following the Stableford, the prizes for the Holywell Eclectic were presented by the Club Vice-captain who complimented the Seniors organization. Derek Kingsbury won the best net with 50.55pts and David Balmford got the best gross of 60. Many other prizes were presented including David Girling's Best Improver and Most Birdies went to our latest convert, Ed Flanaghan. All those whose played were awarded a St Enodoc logoed (?) golf ball but they had to collect them off the floor where DEB had carelessly dropped them all.
Entries for the the Berry Young trophy were so low this year that the event was postponed. I shall be proposing a new format to the committee of a simple Individual Stableford, Longest Drive (HW and CH), Nearest the Pin (HW & CH), Holywell handicap rules, presentation by Pat Berry to follow with nibbles?
