The Holywell Seniors have been enjoying some really good golf and all things considered, some pretty good weather and course conditions lately. Some doubts were expressed about the clearance of areas which hardly come into play but the alterations to the bunkering of the 16th green have been well received.
The most recent Stableford was won by the evergreen dancing Tyrrell with 36 points – good score – nicely in the comfort zone. Several other players received a .3 increase in their handicap. This is unlikely to effect the current eclectic, the last round of which will be played on 23rd May. There was not a huge change at the top in the last round; George Phillips did well by improving 5 shots and Nigel Gallagher only dropped one place due his recent handicap adjustment.
Don't miss the last round of the Eclectic! There is still room at the top for the many and varied prizes which will be presented after the next Stableford on the Holywell. To qualify for a minor prize all you have to do is turn up though one entrant has a hole to complete. Come on, Peter!
