Welcome to 2014 and may it be a Happy, Prosperous and good golfing year for all of you. 2013 was a good one for the website with 125,000 visitors viewing 424,000 pages an increase of 30% over 2012. To put it into perspective that is an average of 341 visitors a day to the site; the most popular pages viewed were the Members Page (191 a day) and the Weather and Webcam pages (175 a day). With probably about 1,200 Members who choose to use the internet we are becoming well used and 2013 showed an increase of just on 50% in the Members Page readership. It is all a far cry from October 2005 when the original website was launched to be replaced by “Son of Website” in November 2011. We have progressed as a sales and information tool for prospective visitors as well as an information source for Members.
So what does 2014 hold for us all? In July we will be hosting the English Women\'s Amateur Championship which will include at least one St Enodoc Member. We are also getting tantalising close to getting Superfast Broadband at the Club which will have considerable behind the scenes benefits for both the Club and the Members.
A reminder that there is still a chance to enter the lookalike competition for the snowman, there have been some good ones so far and there is a bottle of wine on offer for the winner. Let\'s not forget that we are all Members so we can enjoy our wonderful courses which continue to improve especially the Church Course greens which are now among the very finest in Great Britain. Happy New Year!
